An Artist Card is a professional identity card created for people working in the film and television industry — including actors, models, dancers, singers, and technicians from various departments. It acts as a recognized form of membership within the entertainment field.
Having a proper professional identity can make a real difference — whether attending auditions, being part of a shoot, or being recognized as an active industry professional. Members of the Cine TV Artist Welfare Association get a professional identity along with access to the association’s support.

Association Work for Members
Working in the film and television industry often means dealing with project-based contracts and multiple production houses, with payment terms that vary from one project to another. This kind of working structure is common across the entertainment field.
Unfortunately, there are times when artists or technicians face delays in payment, or producers and coordinators withhold part of the agreed amount. This is one of the recurring challenges faced by professionals in this line of work, regardless of experience level.
When such issues occur, registered members can report the matter to the Cine TV Artist Welfare Association, which assists members in claiming their rightful dues from producers, wherever possible.
DO’S AND DON’TS
Important guidelines for all CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION members to maintain professionalism, discipline, and a safe and respectful working environment across the entertainment industry.
Do’s
- Always be punctual at work.
- Update your personal data (e.g., contact/email/address) with CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION, and pay subscriptions/fees on time without waiting for a reminder.
- Update the Association of any setbacks, such as irregular working hours/unhygienic conditions.
- Maintain a written conversation with the Producer or his/her representatives in the form of messages/WhatsApp/email w.r.t remuneration, block dates, call time, etc.
- Maintain the CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION diary regularly.
- Always carry your updated membership card.
- Approach the CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION before the serial goes off-air/dubbing of the movie, in case of any dispute.
- If you are assigned to dub the film, you should take 80% of the salary.
- Posting on social media about your union would be a waste of time. You should contact your union directly.
- Forward your agreement to CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION within 15 days of signing the contract.
- Take acknowledgment of the authorized representative of the Production house on a copy of your invoice
Don’ts
- Don’t leave the sets without finishing your work; contact your Zonal Head/ CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION in case of any emergency.
- Don’t sign the agreement without reading and understanding each clause.
- Don’t sign the agreement leaving blank space between the last line of the agreement & your name.
- Don’t shoot on 26th January, 1st May and 15th August
- If you have a dispute, do not approach the media or channel directly.
- Don’t approach the Producer directly after registering your complaint with CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION.
- Don’t dub any other artiste’s voice without obtaining their/CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION’s consent.
- Don’t replace any other artiste without NOC from fellow artist/ CINE & TV ARTIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION.
- Don’t sign blank/incomplete vouchers.
