  • Financial Data: Payment and billing information (collected via secure third-party payment gateways). We do not directly store full credit card details.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.

In the unfortunate event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will take the following steps:

  1. Refunds, Returns & Event Cancellation (Return Policy)

Last updated for this section: July 29, 2021 (Please refer to the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy for the overall policy date).

  1. ICM / Actor Card / Membership Fees

Fees for the International Cinema Work Permit (ICM), Actor Card, or CTAWA Membership are generally non-refundable once successfully paid and the service or card has been issued.

Exceptions may be considered only in the following circumstances:

  • If CTAWA cancels the service for which the fee was paid.
  • In the event of an administrative error on CTAWA’s part leading to an incorrect charge or service issue.
  • In special, documented cases, at the sole discretion of CTAWA. Any such exception must be approved and documented in writing by an authorized CTAWA representative.
  1. Event Refund / Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation by CTAWA: CTAWA reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrolment, unforeseen circumstances, or any other reason that would make the event non-viable. If CTAWA cancels an event, registered members will be offered a full refund of their event fees.
  • Rescheduled Events: If an event is rescheduled, members will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer their registration to the new date of the same event.
  • No-Shows: No refunds will be issued to members who choose not to attend a scheduled event (no-show) without prior cancellation as per policy.
  • Associate Services: Services provided by CTAWA associates (e.g., workshops, special programs) are subject to the individual return and refund policies of those associates, where applicable.
  1. Order Cancellation Rights (Online)

You are entitled to cancel your online order for certain services (such as membership or ICM application) only within one (1) hour of submitting the application/purchase, without needing to provide a reason.

To exercise this right: You must notify us immediately via email or phone, providing your order details (e.g., application ID, transaction reference).

Refunds will only be processed if the cancellation request is received within this strict one-hour window. After this one-hour period has elapsed, all cancellations and refund requests will be subject to CTAWA’s standard policies (Section 18.A and 18.B) and applicable transaction processing rules, and may not be granted.

  1. Norms to Obtain CTAWA Work Permit / Membership Card

To obtain a CTAWA Work Permit or Membership Card, applicants typically need to meet the following criteria and provide specific documentation:

  • Educational Qualification: Applicants with recognized diplomas/degrees from acting institutes like FTII / NSD (Film and Television Institute of India / National School of Drama) may be exempt from submitting engagement letters.
  • Skill Verification: If the above criteria are not met, applicants may be asked to record a short monologue at the CTAWA office for identity and skill verification.
  • Application Fee: An application form charge of Rs. 100 (non-refundable) may apply, where applicable.
  • Proof of Work Experience:
    • Artists with released TV serials or films may submit a CD or links as proof of work.
    • Freshers (newcomers) may submit a letter of engagement from producers of TV serials/films.
  • Required Documents (Examples):
    • 2 recent passport-size photographs.
    • Proof of date of birth (Copy of Passport, PAN card, School Leaving Certificate, or Birth Certificate).
    • Proof of address (Copy of Passport, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, or Rental Agreement).
  • Online Payment Convenience Fees: Convenience fees may apply for online payments, depending on the payment mode used. 
  1. Film India Directory – Privacy, Refund & Shipping Policy

The Film India Directory is a paid product offered by CTAWA. When you purchase this directory, we collect and process specific personal and transactional data to complete your order.

Information Collected:

  • Your full name, email address, phone number, and shipping address for delivery purposes.
  • Payment details (processed via secure third-party payment gateways). CTAWA does not store full credit/debit card numbers.

Purpose of Use:
